Shouldn't Java qualify for that, being player of the game and all?

I didn't get one myself, but I think it's funny that people are complaining that only 1300 were sent... I want those people to ask themselves this before they torture themselves with emo thoughts : Does Anet have your address?
Lol.
|
Address? The cards are hand signed. Signing 100 is bad enough. Try to imagine signing 1300. Ouch. That's especially thoughtful of the team at ANet.
Congratulations to the recipients of this prestigious award... errr REward. And happy winter holidays everyone!

this thread shows the reality of the selfishness of human nature. Anet do something nice...look at all these sad sad people who seem to have such a pathetic and greedy soul that they cant appreciate it and just say "thanks".
*clap* *clap* *clap*
Congratulations to those that supported A-Net, and thanks to Anet for getting in touch with players to show your appreciation.

I think I have an analogy for you.
Its christmas time, you are a mom and have 10 kids (child A thru child J). Unfortunately you only have enough money to buy gifts for 2 of those so you get a gift for child C and one for child J.....now all 10 kids are gathered around and you hand out only 2 gifts....child A and child B dont care since they no longer believe in christmas. Child D gets upset since he is child C's twin "why did he get a gift and not me??" the other kids E-I give various responses seen on this forum from 'that's nice' of mom to get a gift for those 2 to 'huh, why those 2?'.
This is not how I would have handled it if I were the mom, it would either be NO gift for any of them or ONE gift that ALL of them could share, but thats just me (they youngest kid of a large family.....).....
anyways As Child A might say: "its nice that mom got something for the 'kids' ....so enjoy your gifts Child C and Child J!

You may be a "child" but I sincerely hope that most of us aren't. When you change "child" to "adult" in this fairy tale, it transforms into the situation we have here: a lot of people congratulating the lucky few and an even fewer number of people complaining.
Either grow up, or if already done learn the value of silence in these moments of peace.
Peace.

actually my analogy is quite appropriate for the way many people are acting on this issue....some dont care, some are applauding anets 'choice', others are 'QQ'ing it, some are in between.
And everyone has a mother...so you are all 'child' to someone (even if like me you have kids old enough to be in college I still have a mom and I am her child).
Yes Fril you are correct about the situation, which is what the analogy was about. I was hoping that people (who are complaining etc) would see the example and see how silly they are responding and then maybe really 'grow up'.
However, in the end you can not please all the people all the time, unfortunately.

I got one today, 531/1300.
I was so surprised that I couldn't believe my eyes. I was like O.O
I read this thread as soon as it was posted and I thought they can't possibly send those cards to Finland and even if they do it's not going to be me who gets a card but I was wrong.
Thank you Anet. Happy holidays for all of you.
